Just a couple hundred years ago there was no Walgreens or CVS to help with health issues. People relied on the land and herbs to bring them back to health. Medicine Women/Medicine Men/Doctor's had their own supply of herbal concoctions to help whoever came to them. It is time we rely less on pharmaceuticals, and more on ourselves to balance any dis-ease in the body.

While Western medicine practice is focused on treating the symptoms, it fails to ask why the symptoms are there in the first place. For example, if you go to the doctor for back pain they will prescribe you pain reliever, but will fail to ask if you sit a lot, if you stretch, and how often do you self-massage.

The practice of Herbal medicine takes symptoms as a cry for help from the body to a much deeper issue. Being able to evaluate your life on the physical and mental level is a skill all should possess in their own first aid kit. Further, having knowledge in basic common herbs that can help support the body is also a skill all humans should possess. There are herbs you cook with (rosemary, thyme, etc...) so of course there are herbs you heal with as well (tulsi, oatstraw, etc...).

With Sol Shine's mission to connect as many people as possible to the beauty and power of nature, we gladly extend herbal workshops to communities.

The knowledge of medicinal herbs is nothing to keep a secret. Sol Shine offers hands-on workshops in organic tea making, salve making (lotion), and more. Our mindfully-crafted, simple ingredient formulas will be passed on to all who attend. Contact us today to book!
